Orry Observatory is a dual-hobby website project covering our interests in both Urban astronomy and Wildlife gardening. It's far from perfect and will forever organically grow meaning it will never be finished. Should you encounter any errors during your visit, please do flag them up to us.

Our simple intention is to provide various still images and videos, alongside livestreams, of what may be seen both from and within the suburbs of Douglas, that may be of interest to visitors.

Inevitably, cameras, computers and other equipment will go down from time to time, for there is a deal of work in maintaining everything. If it can go wrong, it invariably seems to do so!

Hopefully you will find something of interest to during your visit, or even perhaps something to spur you on for your own project. That's just one reason why we detail the hardware and software we have employed for the production of this website and its content. Please keep in mind that what we utilise is not necessarily the best nor indeed the most suitable when it comes to your own use.
